  Stayed two nights whilst working in the area. Location is great, twenty minutes from the train station near plenty of amenities. Room was clean and warm, and no noise from the bar area. The bathroom was a bit grim and as an old building there was a lot of plumbing noise and birds roosting outside woke me up at dawn. But the full breakfast was great and the staff very helpful. Please note - they don't take cards, for some reason! Had to use the cash machine down the road.

  Just had a pint in the bar. The place really is in need of refurbishment. Bar staff was excellent.

  My stay was terrible; the price paid was relatively low however the room was very dated.
  The pigeons on the window sill made sleep difficult.
